I visited a retrospective of the work of the American Abstract Expressionist Willem De Kooning (must be 30 years or more ago) in London. I loved De Kooning's early figurative paintings at the time and these works left a long lasting impression on me, so much so that in the last two years I have made around 30 artworks 'in the spirit of the young De Kooning.
The work to the right is called 'What Do Artists Talk About'.
