Girl with a Pearl (after Vermeer)

'Girl with a Pearl'... the girl is the daughter of one of my Dutch cousins. The pearl floats and catches the girl's eyes. A Vermeer like interior becomes a contemporary space. The framed Milk Maid on the wall is a favourite Vermeer painting of mine... silent, apart from the milk gently hitting the bowl. The lid of the musical instrument displays a work of mine called... 'The Time Traveler's Memory Boxes'. Look closely and the pearl itself reflects the scene in the room.
